Philanthropy

  •

The Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity was founded upon the long tradition of philanthropy. The founders, William H. Letterman & Charles P.T. Moore were nursing a sick friend back to health when they discovered their joy for helping others. The California Nu Chapter of Phi Kappa Psi continues the long tradition set by these patrons, a pathway first blazed by the founders, by continuously holding events. The chapter has adopted a street, located on Iowa St. from University Ave. to Martin Luther King Jr. St., in which the chapter meets on a twice monthly basis to clean. The chapter has also assisted in the Cesar E. Chavez Walk for Charity, as well as adopted a philanthropy of community service, in participation with the Boys and Girls Club of America in volunteer work, “Relay for Life,” a race to find the cure for Cancer, and many more.
